Observability Platform Engineer (Kubernetes / OpenShift)

About the role

We are seeking an Observability Platform Engineer to design, operate, and evolve our monitoring, logging, and tracing stack built on Kubernetes and OpenShift. The role ensures the availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of observability services while partnering with development teams to improve service visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, and OpenTelemetry Collectors.
• Manage platform configurations, upgrades, security patching, and data retention policies.
• Plan storage capacity, implement data archiving, and ensure platform scalability.
• Support development teams with metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting best practices.
• Define and enforce observability standards, provide training, and mentor teams.
• Automate recurring administration tasks and improve telemetry data quality.
• Maintain technical documentation, naming conventions, tagging, and dashboard design.
• Produce regular reports on platform usage, performance, capacity, and health.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Observability, DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.
• Practical knowledge of monitoring and tracing solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience supporting production environments and implementing monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting best practices.
