Mechanical Design Engineer – Solar PV Structures (Fixed Tilt & Tracking)

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to strengthen our engineering team responsible for designing and optimizing mechanical structures for utility‑scale ground‑mounted photovoltaic (PV) power plants. The role focuses on both Fixed Tilt systems and Solar Tracking (Tracker) solutions and is performed remotely from Tunisia.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical layouts and configurations for ground‑mounted solar PV plants.
• Conduct technical studies for fixed‑tilt structures and solar tracking systems.
• Use PVCase, Helios 3D, and Autodesk Inventor to create and optimise project designs.
• Develop and analyse Finite Element Models (FEM) to validate structural performance and strength.
• Optimise designs while balancing technical, economic and constructability constraints.
• Collaborate with commercial, project, procurement and construction teams.
• Produce technical documentation, including drawings, calculation reports, specifications and bills of materials.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field.
• Significant experience designing ground‑mounted photovoltaic structures.
• Hands‑on experience with Fixed Tilt systems and/or Solar Trackers.
• Proven experience in structural analysis and mechanical calculations.
• Fluent professional English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PVCase.
• Proficiency with Helios 3D.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor.
• Strong knowledge of FEM analysis tools.
• Solid understanding of steel structures and mechanical design principles.
