Mechanical Design Engineer – Automotive R&D

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D department in Tunis. The role focuses on designing and developing mechanical enclosures for automotive products, supporting change management, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CAD models, detailed drawings, and mechanical bills of materials using CATIA V5.
• Lead detailed mechanical design activities while meeting performance, timing, and cost targets.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Support product development, continuous improvement initiatives, and change management processes.
• Conduct tolerance analysis, GD&T application, and finite element analysis (FEA) as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in automotive engineering design.
• Strong knowledge of automotive standards and core quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and PPAP.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.

• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Tolerance analysis.

• Automotive standards and quality tools (APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP).
