Logistics Manager – Humanitarian Operations

About the role

We are seeking a strategic, hands‑on logistics leader to oversee procurement, supply‑chain, fleet, assets, warehousing and compliance for NRC operations in Libya and Tunisia. The role combines senior logistics experience with strong leadership to build capable teams and ensure accountability across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the logistics team, set goals aligned with country strategy, and provide training and capacity building.
• Oversee procurement processes, deliveries, stock, fleet, assets and insurance, ensuring compliance with NRC standards, donor requirements and anti‑corruption controls.
• Maintain logistics filing, reporting and data systems, including implementation of Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Tender Management System (TMS).
• Support emergency preparedness and response, area‑level partnerships and other logistics priorities as delegated.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of senior logistics experience (Coordinator, Advisor or Manager) in a humanitarian or recovery context.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Experience with donor rules and compliance, particularly KfW, and with start‑up or exit operations.

Required skills

• Data collection, analysis and report writing, including market analysis.
• Use of supply‑chain business management systems (WMS, TMS) and remote management tools.

• Permanent residential contract (Grade 9 on NRC grading structure) based in Tunis, Tunisia or Tripoli, Libya.
