Launch Project Quality Engineer

About the role

Autoliv is seeking a Launch Project Quality Engineer to represent the voice of the customer and the manufacturing process within the APQP framework. You will work on the AS100 cross‑functional team from TG0 to TG4, ensuring that product and process development are tightly aligned.

Key responsibilities

• Participate actively in the AS100 Project CFT from TG0 through TG4.
• Represent plant quality concerns in project meetings and design reviews (DR1‑DR3).
• Ensure alignment of D‑PFMEA, control plans, CC/SC lists and drawings.
• Manage pre‑production and production control plans, including prototype checks.
• Cascade customer‑specific quality requirements to the plant and verify shipped parts meet approved specifications.
• Hand over quality tasks to Production Quality during phase 4.
• Support the Project Manager with APQP documentation and prepare initial PPAP submissions.
• Moderate problem‑solving activities (8D) and support Yokoten and lessons‑learned initiatives.
• Facilitate customer visits, trial runs and manufacturing release processes.
• Review and approve internal supplier PPAPs and verify lab test gauges and fixtures.

Required profile

• Strong customer focus and global perspective.
• Experience with automotive quality standards and certification requirements.
• Knowledge of dimensional tolerancing (GD&T) and metrology methods.
• Understanding of product testing, APDS, APS and related quality systems.
• Ability to drive collaboration, make sound decisions and manage execution.
