Knowledge Associate – Chemicals & Materials (Automotive & Electronics)

About the role

As a Knowledge Associate you will support research and regulatory analysis of chemicals and materials used in the automotive and electronics sectors, helping customers meet global safety, sustainability and circularity requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyse applicable regulations, compliance obligations and industry‑specific requirements for automotive and electronic chemicals, including safe transport of dangerous goods such as batteries.
• Monitor emerging global requirements, maintain regulatory databases and prepare executive‑summary reports on regulatory changes.
• Act as a point of contact for internal teams and industry stakeholders to obtain and share up‑to‑date knowledge on chemicals, materials and sustainability trends.
• Provide comprehensive research reports and point‑of‑access support for local acceptance issues under supervision.
• Coordinate multi‑product, multi‑country studies and may own specific geographic areas or regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 1‑2 years of experience in chemical regulatory affairs, product stewardship or related consulting.
• Strong knowledge of chemicals and mixtures regulations such as CLP, REACH, GHS, TSCA, Prop 65, PFAS, BPR.
• Familiarity with automotive and electronics standards including RoHS, ELV, WEEE, Battery Regulation, Ecodesign and IMDS.
• Excellent analytical and research skills and proficiency in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, International Relations or related field is a plus.
