Junior Field Service Technician – North Africa & Middle East

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Field Service Technician to support our customers across North Africa and the Middle East. You will work on-site, performing maintenance and support for Schunk Sonosystems’ ultrasonic welding equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance on ultrasonic welding equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, commission and validate equipment.
• Train customers on operation and maintenance procedures.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance documentation and technical quotations.
• Coordinate service assignments and maintain clear communication with customers and internal teams.
• Manage spare parts, service documentation and customer complaints using the CRM system.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with internal guidelines and the Schunk Group Code of Conduct.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation or a comparable technical field (Bac+2/3).
• First relevant experience in industrial maintenance, field service or technical customer support.
• Experience with ultrasonic welding equipment or cable processing systems (cutting, stripping, crimping, cable assembly) is a plus.
• Valid category B driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across North Africa and the Middle East.
• Proficiency in Arabic, French and English, especially in technical contexts.
