IT Infrastructure & Compliance Specialist

About the role

GEVEKOM is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure & Compliance Specialist to join its Tunis office. You will be responsible for building, operating, and continuously improving the company’s technical infrastructure while ensuring full compliance with Tunisian regulations, data‑protection rules, and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the setup, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of the local IT infrastructure.
• Install, assemble, and cable network equipment, gateways, access points, and other IT hardware.
• Document all technical equipment and ensure reliable operation.
• Manage procurement of IT hardware in Tunisia, selecting local suppliers and service providers while respecting customs and procurement rules.
• Assist with approval and registration procedures for VPNs, encryption technologies, and telecommunications in coordination with the national CERT.
• Ensure compliance with data‑protection regulations and cross‑border data transfer requirements set by the Tunisian Data Protection Authority (INPDP).
• Work according to national cybersecurity regulations and support audit requirements from authorities such as ANCS/ANSI.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and technical installations.
• Familiarity with Tunisian regulatory environment, customs procedures, and local supplier landscape.
• Ability to coordinate with internal departments and external partners.
