IT Enterprise Architect

About the role

MS Solutions Group is seeking an experienced IT Enterprise Architect to define and evolve the architecture of its SPARK payment platform. Reporting to the Engineering Division, you will align technology strategy with business goals while ensuring scalability, resilience, and security across a high‑volume, real‑time transaction environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise application architecture across SaaS, on‑premise, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Design target architecture to support SPARK’s growth, high‑volume processing, and real‑time transaction handling.
• Develop technology transformation roadmaps and guide architectural decisions.
• Promote modern principles such as microservices, event‑driven architecture, and API‑first approaches.
• Ensure interoperability with internal systems, international card schemes, local processors, and open‑banking APIs.
• Embed high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and performance into designs and collaborate with DevOps and Security to meet PCI‑DSS and PCI‑SSF requirements.
• Lead architecture review boards and define enterprise data architecture strategy.
• Support delivery and presales teams with complex, tailored architectures for enterprise clients.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years as an Enterprise or Lead Software Architect.
• Strong expertise in electronic payment systems (issuing, acquiring, switching, clearing) and standards such as ISO 8583, ISO 20022, and EMV.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions and influence cross‑functional teams.
• Strategic mindset combined with hands‑on technical depth.

Required skills

• Microservices, distributed architectures, event‑driven architecture, API‑first design.
• Kubernetes, containerization, hybrid‑cloud and cloud‑agnostic environments, Ceph storage.
• Kafka, Flink, real‑time messaging and data processing.
• High‑volume transactional databases, performance optimization, caching, partitioning, distributed storage.
• PCI‑DSS, PCI‑SSF compliance, SBOM governance, applied cryptography, Hardware Security Modules (HSM).
• TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification (advantage).
