Head of Production Quality – DETJ Plant

About the role

We are a leading manufacturing company seeking an experienced Head of Production Quality for our DETJ plant. You will translate strategic quality plans into daily actions, lead a multidisciplinary team, and ensure the highest standards of product quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor quality processes, systems, and operational standards across the plant.
• Manage departmental budget, cost performance, and corrective actions.
• Lead workforce planning, recruitment, training, and team development.
• Oversee production efficiency, delivery performance, and resolve bottlenecks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades, and cross‑functional projects.
• Ensure compliance with EHS policies, regulations, and promote a strong safety culture.
• Handle customer complaints, 8D reports, and coordinate with internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• University or engineering degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, with proven personnel management.
• Fluent English (both written and spoken).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking abilities.

Required skills

• Quality tools and auditing knowledge.
• 8D Report (RQMS) methodology.
• Q‑Sys competence.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 and customer‑specific requirements.
• Formal Q/VW standards.
