EU-Africa Space Policy & Institutional Expert (Non-Key)

About the role

NTU International is seeking a highly qualified Non‑Key Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme (AESPP Boost). The expert will facilitate policy dialogue, institutional cooperation and programme governance between European and African stakeholders in the space sector.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on EU‑Africa space policy and institutional frameworks.
• Support the design and implementation of governance mechanisms, steering committees and coordination structures.
• Facilitate dialogue between European Union bodies, African Union Commission, African Space Agency and regional economic communities.
• Contribute to knowledge exchange, innovation promotion and private‑sector engagement initiatives.
• Prepare policy briefs, reports and recommendations for senior decision‑makers.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in international relations, public policy, law, political science, space policy or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in international cooperation, public policy or institutional advisory work.
• At least 4 years of experience working on EU and/or African Union policy frameworks and institutional processes.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of EU space policy and African space governance architecture.
• Experience with inter‑institutional dialogue, programme governance and steering mechanisms.
