ESG Knowledge Specialist – Regulatory & Market Access

About the role

The ESG Knowledge Specialist serves as the primary expert on ESG compliance requirements needed to access specific geographic markets, particularly in Africa and the Middle East. You will guide internal and external stakeholders through regulatory frameworks, reporting obligations, and sustainability standards that affect market entry.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for ESG compliance requirements across targeted regions.
• Provide guidance on ESG‑related regulatory frameworks, sustainability reporting, decarbonisation, and due‑diligence laws.
• Support stakeholders by addressing local regulatory questions and ensuring consistent interpretation of ESG rules.
• Monitor ESG regulatory trends, update internal knowledge bases, and communicate upcoming changes.
• Identify emerging ESG business opportunities and translate complex regulations into actionable insights for Countries/Operating Units.
• Coordinate multi‑country ESG studies, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
• Adhere to the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and all security practices.
• Perform additional duties to support ESG program growth and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ESG regulatory compliance or related fields.
• Strong understanding of the TIC business and relevant industry sectors.
• Proven ability to link regulatory requirements with customer needs and business opportunities.
• Excellent analytical, research, and data‑interpretation skills.
• Effective networking and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
