Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

About the role

The Environmental Health and Safety Specialist will act as a trusted partner to management, ensuring a safe, secure and compliant workplace. You will protect people, assets and the sustainability of operations by overseeing environmental protection, industrial safety and occupational health initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve Health, Safety, Fire Prevention and Environmental Management Systems.
• Monitor and inspect the implementation of occupational health, safety, fire protection and accident‑prevention measures.
• Identify environmental gaps, prepare analyses and reports, and drive corrective actions.
• Plan, organize and deliver EHS training sessions for relevant employees.
• Ensure EHS policies, procedures and objectives are clearly defined, implemented and maintained.
• Implement security measures such as access control, surveillance systems and evacuation drills.
• Serve as the main contact for security‑related topics and coordinate with external authorities.
• Promote a strong EHS culture across the organization and support Health and Safety Committees.

Required profile

• University degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
• Good knowledge of Tunisian legal requirements for public‑access buildings.
• Initial training in fire prevention.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience in an EHS‑related role.
• Knowledge of security management is an advantage.
• Good command of English.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
