Communications, Knowledge Management and Learning Assistant

About the role

The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme in Tunisia seeks a Communications, Knowledge Management and Learning Assistant to support the visibility, documentation and learning activities of an innovative youth employability and disability‑inclusion initiative. The role will capture volunteer stories, produce communication assets and help organise knowledge resources for the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development (IVY2026).

Key responsibilities

• Collect and curate stories, testimonials and human‑interest content from young UN Volunteers.
• Develop communication products such as social‑media posts, advocacy materials, videos and visual assets.
• Support outreach activities linked to IVY2026, International Volunteer Day and joint SDC‑UNV events.
• Maintain a repository of communication materials, photographs, multimedia resources and success stories.
• Coordinate the collection and organisation of qualitative and quantitative data.
• Conduct interviews with volunteers, UN partners and SDC stakeholders.
• Assist in analysing programme outcomes, emerging trends and drafting learning products.
• Prepare presentations, reports and dissemination materials highlighting volunteer impact on youth employability and disability inclusion.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, International Development, Social Sciences, Political Science, Knowledge Management or a related field.
• Up to one year of experience in communications, knowledge management, research or project support.
• Excellent writing, editing, analytical and synthesis abilities.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with digital communication and social‑media tools.
• Experience in photography, graphic design or video editing (desirable).
