Apprenticeship – STM32CubeProgrammer Validation

About the role

Join the software validation team at STMicroelectronics and work on the STM32CubeProgrammer validation suite. You will help automate testing of new features for STM32 programming tools, ensuring quality and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse validation test specifications and test plans for existing features.
• Design and propose an automated test architecture for agreed features.
• Develop and implement automated tests using scripting languages.
• Communicate issues to stakeholders and assist in investigations.
• Integrate automated tests into the Validation Automatic Platform.
• Document test designs, results and procedures.

Required profile

• Current student in Software or Electronics Engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with embedded software projects.
• Understanding of the embedded development life‑cycle.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

Required skills

• STM32 microcontroller architecture and ecosystem.
• Communication protocols: I2C, UART, USB, SPI, CAN, JTAG, SWD.
• Scripting and automation: Python, VBScript, Shell.
• Version control and code review tools: Git, Gerrit.
