Application Support Engineer – Visa Support

About the role

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to provide Visa‑related support for our business‑critical applications. The role is based in Lisbon and offers the opportunity to relocate to Portugal while working in a dynamic, people‑first technology consulting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support production applications, investigate and resolve incidents, and ensure service continuity.
• Analyze logs, handle escalations and coordinate with infrastructure, development, production and business teams.
• Support deployments, testing, releases, documentation and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Manage file transfers and messaging platforms using Linux/Unix, Tomcat, JBoss, Apache HTTP Server, IBM MQ, Axway CFT/Secure Transport, SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, PeSIT.
• Utilise monitoring and ticketing tools such as Jira and ServiceNow; familiarity with Control‑M and production monitoring tools is a plus.
• Apply security protocols including PGP/GPG, TLS, SSL/TLS, SSH and VPN.

Required profile

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience in Application Support or Production Support with a proactive, solution‑driven mindset.
• Resourceful, autonomous and client‑focused attitude.
