AI Engineer

About the role

Capgemini is looking for an AI Engineer to help design, develop and deploy artificial intelligence solutions across many use cases. You will build and train machine learning models, prepare high-quality datasets and support the integration of AI components into enterprise or embedded environments.

Key responsibilities

• Support the full lifecycle of AI projects: data exploration, preprocessing, model training, evaluation and deployment.
• Develop ML models with modern frameworks, contributing to feature extraction, optimization and validation.
• Work with data engineers, architects and business analysts to turn requirements into robust AI solutions.
• Take part in implementing AI solutions on cloud, on-premise or edge environments.
• Contribute to PoCs, experiments and continuous improvement of AI components, pipelines and reusable assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in AI, Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related field.
• Practical experience applying machine learning to real-world problems; exposure to computer vision, sensor data processing or similar is a plus.
• Experience building and evaluating ML models with mainstream frameworks.
• Comfortable in Agile teams and with multi-disciplinary projects; strong ability to learn new tools.
• Excellent English and French, and good teamwork.

Required skills

• Mandatory: machine learning and AI, Python, and frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Data handling: NumPy, Pandas, preprocessing of structured and unstructured data, dataset management (batching, augmentation, normalization).
• Deployable components: APIs, microservices, edge runtimes, quantization, pruning and compression.
• Plus: time-series, biometric or sensor data, and computer vision or image processing.
