Water Consultant (ET) – 1-year contract

About the role

The World Bank is seeking an experienced Water Consultant to support its Water/Sanitation portfolio in the MENA region. This 1‑year fixed‑term position, based in Tunis, will contribute to the design, implementation and evaluation of water‑related projects that advance sustainable development goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and analytical support for water and sanitation projects across the region.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, feasibility studies, and implementation plans.
• Coordinate with government agencies, donors, and private partners to ensure alignment with World Bank standards.
• Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks and produce high‑quality reports for stakeholders.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing by documenting best practices and lessons learned.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Significant experience in water sector consulting or project implementation, preferably in the Middle East and North Africa.
• Fluency in French, English and Arabic.
• Strong understanding of World Bank policies and development financing mechanisms.
