Supply Chain Assistant

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Tunisia is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant to support procurement and logistics operations across the head office, sub‑offices, and field locations. Working under the Head of Resource Management Unit and the Head of Sub‑Office, you will ensure that all purchasing activities comply with IOM regulations and are executed efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and endorse procurement and supply requisitions from all offices.
• Solicit offers, prepare bid analyses, and assist in drafting tender documents.
• Maintain complete procurement documentation, including PRFs, purchase orders, delivery receipts, and waybills.
• Coordinate with suppliers and receiving units to ensure timely delivery and proper invoicing.
• Conduct first‑review of vendor invoices, prepare payment requests, and follow up on payments.
• Assist in drafting, tracking, and managing contracts for goods, services, and property rentals.
• Enter purchase data and asset information into the PRISM system and support physical inventory verification.
• Provide logistical support for office deliveries, construction activities, and transportation needs.
• Monitor contracted vendors for utilities, cleaning, and waste collection services.

Required profile

• Completed high school certificate in Business Management, Procurement, Logistics, Economics or related field with at least four years of relevant experience, OR a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in the same fields with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procurement regulations and manage documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
