Senior Optimization Engineer

About the role

Capgemini is seeking a Senior Optimization Engineer to lead network performance improvements across all generations of mobile networks (2G to 5G). You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure optimal radio access network (RAN) and core performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute optimization activities for 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks.
• Perform drive‑test processing, analysis and reporting using tools such as TEMS Discovery.
• Conduct initial tuning, single‑site and cluster optimization to meet KPI targets.
• Monitor, analyze and report KPI trends, benchmark network performance and map parameters for multi‑vendor projects.
• Automate processes and manipulate data using Business Intelligence and Data Science techniques.
• Support first‑time RAN, Core, ORAN and NPO deployments, including functional and technical validation.
• Resolve deployment issues, execute configuration tuning, and provide early‑life customer support.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of performance degradations and define corrective actions.
• Coordinate with optimization, NPO, care, and operations teams and produce operational and executive reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.
• Strong foundation in communications theory and RF fundamentals.
• Broad knowledge of wireless technologies such as NB‑IoT, VoLTE, WCDMA and GSM.
• Proven experience with legacy and modern mobile network technologies.
