Senior AWS Platform Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior AWS Platform Engineer to design, operate, and evolve a scalable AWS infrastructure for an enterprise client. You will own the platform layer that multiple engineering teams rely on, ensuring it is robust, secure, and continuously improving.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the AWS platform using infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform) and container orchestration (EKS, ECS/Fargate).
• Standardize deployment, security, and monitoring processes across all environments.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to define and refine agile work items and user stories.
• Provide platform architecture guidance and support application teams when needed.
• Implement multi‑account governance, compliance (SOC 2), and observability solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production AWS platforms.
• Strong expertise in Terraform at scale, Kubernetes (EKS) or ECS/Fargate, and AWS networking/security.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipeline design (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Proficiency in Python for automation and tooling.
• Experience with service mesh, GitOps, and observability stacks is a plus.
