Remote Accountant – US GAAP/UK GAAP Expertise

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our remote team. The successful candidate will handle daily accounting operations, ensure tax compliance and deliver accurate financial reporting in line with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS, supporting our business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss) complying with the relevant accounting standards.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure tax compliance.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns and process payroll in accordance with local regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and expense analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (UK) preferred.
• Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or SAP.
