Operations Officer (P5) – Visa Processing

About the role

The Operations Officer (P5) is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end visa application process, providing customer support, and ensuring strict compliance with operational and anti‑bribery standards. The role supports the Deputy Manager/Operations Manager in delivering World Bank projects and promotes sustainable practices within the centre.

Key responsibilities

• Scrutinize, collect and record visa application documents, ensuring accurate data entry and timely processing within the defined Turn‑Around‑Time.
• Handle applicant queries in‑person, by email and telephone, informing them about value‑added services and encouraging feedback.
• Manage cash and bank transactions, passport delivery logistics, and maintain compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Support senior managers in executing World Bank‑funded projects.
• Promote judicious use of natural resources and adhere to environmental, health and safety policies.
• Follow Anti‑Bribery Management System (ABMS) guidelines and uphold ethical standards.

Required profile

• Experience in visa or document processing and customer service.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Knowledge of cash handling, banking procedures and logistics coordination.
• Understanding of compliance, SOPs and anti‑bribery policies.
• Ability to work under defined Turn‑Around‑Time targets and support project implementation.
