Materials Planner Trim

About the role

As a Materials Planner Trim, you will translate customer requests into supplier orders while overseeing production, transit, and transport timelines. You will ensure material availability aligns with manufacturing schedules and maintain optimal stock levels.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement of materials from assigned suppliers according to logistics guidelines.
• Ensure supplier deliveries meet quality, service, and cost standards.
• Prepare and distribute weekly supplier releases using EDI and other tools.
• Monitor material receipt, report issues to planning, and take corrective actions.
• Analyze stock levels, run simulations to avoid shortages or surpluses, and collaborate with the factory planning department.
• Act as the liaison for the quality control department on rejected material lots.
• Enforce procurement agreements and company policies.
• Assist with import transportation, tracking transit operations while optimizing cost and lead time.
• Follow hygiene and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Engineer degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a material planner or in procurement.
• Strong time and project management abilities.
• Analytical mindset with excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Familiarity with EDI systems.
