Maintenance Engineer – TCS Plant

About the role

Lear is launching its second plant and first Greenfield manufacturing facility in Bizerte, Tunisia, within the Thermal Comfort Systems (TCS) division. The Maintenance Engineer will ensure that all machinery, equipment, and facilities operate smoothly and efficiently, supporting the plant’s goal of delivering advanced thermal comfort technologies for the automotive market.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine, scheduled, and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve technical faults, respond to breakdowns, and replace worn parts to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies and protocols to optimize equipment performance.
• Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all maintenance operations.
• Coordinate with technicians, contractors, and engineers to maintain smooth plant operations.

Required profile

• Technical university degree.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in the automotive industry.

• Mechanical systems knowledge.
• Electrical systems knowledge.
• Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
