About the role
The Country Coordinator Consultant (Type A) will support a cross‑border project that strengthens child protection systems for migrant children along the Central Mediterranean Route. Reporting to the country lead and working closely with IOM, UNICEF and regional focal points, the consultant will ensure coordinated implementation of protection interventions and data‑driven reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the secretariat for the country team: maintain staff directory, schedule and convene meetings, draft agendas and minutes.
- Manage documentation on the joint IOM‑SC‑UNICEF SharePoint site, ensuring timely and organized communication across country, regional and global partners.
- Escalate unresolved decision‑making issues to global focal points when consensus cannot be reached.
- Conduct desk reviews and co‑author the Central Mediterranean Joint Report, mapping best practices, gaps and needs.
- Support feedback, revision, design, publication and dissemination of the joint report.
- Assist the IOM Programme Manager in co‑organising a regional convening for the country team.
Required profile
- Proven experience in project coordination within humanitarian, migration or child‑protection contexts.
- Familiarity with multi‑partner environments, especially IOM and UNICEF frameworks.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
