About the role
The X‑Ray Quality Inspector performs non‑destructive testing using X‑ray techniques to verify the integrity of aerospace castings. The role ensures compliance with customer specifications, aerospace standards, and company quality requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Operate X‑ray inspection equipment to detect internal defects such as porosity, inclusions, or cracks.
- Interpret radiographic images according to NAS 410, ASTM standards and customer specifications.
- Record, document and report inspection results, maintaining traceability of parts.
- Identify non‑conforming conditions and initiate Non‑Conformance Reports.
- Support root‑cause investigations and corrective actions for casting defects.
- Ensure calibration and safe operation of X‑ray equipment following radiation safety procedures.
Required skills
- X‑ray inspection equipment operation
- Radiographic image interpretation
- Knowledge of NAS 410 and ASTM standards
