Technical Team Lead – Python Data Automation & Web Scraping

About the role

DNEXT is seeking a Technical Team Lead to drive the design and delivery of Python‑based data collection and automation solutions. You will mentor a small team, ensure high‑quality code, and collaborate with senior leadership to shape the future of our market‑intelligence platform for agriculture commodities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team developing Python scraping and data acquisition scripts.
• Review and improve Python code for reliability, readability, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot complex scraping, parsing, validation, and automation issues.
• Establish best practices for Python scripting, SQL usage, Git workflows, error handling, logging, documentation, and testing.
• Coordinate priorities, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet delivery timelines.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into clear technical tasks and ensure scalable, stable data pipelines.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Python for scripting, web scraping, automation, and data processing.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a small technical team.
• Excellent code review skills and a focus on quality and maintainability.
• Solid troubleshooting capabilities and attention to data accuracy.
• Good understanding of data parsing, cleaning, and validation.
