Specialist Technician – CNC Milling & Material Preparation

About the role

LEONI is seeking a Specialist Technician to operate and set up CNC‑controlled machines for material preparation and milling. The role is based in the company’s manufacturing site and focuses on producing high‑quality parts through chip‑forming processes.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and program numerical‑controlled production machines according to work instructions.
• Set up, adjust and maintain CNC equipment, band saws, lathes and related tools.
• Perform visual inspections and self‑checks to ensure parts meet quality specifications.
• Identify, isolate and report defective components promptly.
• Document process parameters and measurement results in the designated software and paper records.
• Operate auxiliary equipment such as grinding, cutting and drilling machines during the chip‑forming process.
• Maintain up‑to‑date process documentation and ensure proper handling of tools and materials.

Required profile

• Technical diploma (BTS) in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electromechanical engineering.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform self‑control after each work step.
• Good communication and intercultural sensitivity.
• Motivation, resilience and ability to work autonomously and in a team.

Required skills

• CNC machine operation and programming.
• Band‑saw and lathe operation.
• Grinding, cutting and drilling techniques.
• Use of parameter measuring devices and visual inspection methods.
