Senior Technical Team Leader – Business Intelligence, Data Governance & Reporting

About the role

SBS, a global leader in banking and financial services software, is seeking a Senior Technical Team Leader to drive its Business Intelligence, Data Governance and Reporting initiatives. You will shape BI strategy, mentor a high‑performing team and deliver scalable, high‑quality analytical solutions that support the company’s digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute BI strategies, tools and reporting solutions aligned with business goals.
• Act as the BI subject‑matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship across the organization.
• Design, implement and maintain scalable data models, analytical layers and interactive Power BI dashboards.
• Optimize BI architecture for performance, scalability and adaptability.
• Apply performance‑tuning techniques to improve data processing and dashboard responsiveness.
• Ensure data quality, consistency and governance across all BI deliverables.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists and business stakeholders to capture and fulfil BI requirements.
• Leverage advanced Power BI features (DAX, Power Query, Power BI Service) to automate reporting.
• Conduct workshops and office hours to promote self‑service BI and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Stay current with emerging BI tools, trends and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, including data warehousing, ETL pipelines and reporting.
• Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL300) and Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP‑DAMA) preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams, bridge technical and business groups and foster a collaborative culture.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills in English.
