Remote CMS Developer (Contract/Full-time)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CMS Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom Content Management System applications such as WordPress, Drupal, or Craft CMS. The position is fully remote and operates on a contract/full-time basis, collaborating daily with designers, content creators, and other technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create, manage, and scale customized CMS applications, building custom themes, modules, and plugins from scratch.
• Implement responsive designs, ensure cross-browser compatibility, and conduct performance tuning.
• Set up custom post types and fields to provide an intuitive editing experience for non-technical users.
• Maintain site security, data protection, user authentication, regular backups, and software updates.
• Apply technical SEO best practices and integrate third-party APIs, CRM systems, and tracking tools such as Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, back-end developers, and content stakeholders to meet brand guidelines and project timelines.
• Produce clean code and comprehensive technical documentation for future maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on CMS technologies.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and manage time effectively.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and attention to design accuracy.

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid), JavaScript (ES6+).
• Server-side languages: PHP, Python, Ruby.
• Extensive experience with WordPress, Drupal, Craft CMS, or Magento.
• Custom theme and plugin/module development.
• API integration and database management.
• Technical SEO implementation.
