Registration Assistant

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Registration Assistant to manage helpline calls and support the registration of migrants in Tunisia. The role works under the Head of Sub Office and Senior Programme Assistant, ensuring that vulnerable migrants receive accurate information and timely referrals.

Key responsibilities

• Answer helpline calls and provide basic information on IOM services available in Tunisia.
• Conduct organized registration activities following Standard Operating Procedures and a standardized data collection system.
• Refer eligible beneficiaries—including victims of trafficking, medical cases, and other vulnerable migrants—to appropriate services or external providers.
• Follow up with beneficiaries to provide updates, schedule appointments, and communicate progress.
• Support unit outreach activities and assist in the distribution of non‑food items (NFIs) to vulnerable migrants.
• Maintain accurate call records and keep the helpline database up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Science, Business Administration, International Relations, Law, or a related field with at least one year of relevant experience, OR a high‑school diploma with a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience working directly with vulnerable migrants, including individuals in distress.
• Experience compiling and reporting beneficiary data.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Familiarity with ODK/KOBO data collection tools.
• Basic database knowledge.
