Quality Specialist – FMEA

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Quality Specialist focused on Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to strengthen our plant’s quality strategy. You will proactively identify potential failures, assess risks, and support continuous improvement of products and processes in an automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate risks in production processes using FMEA methodology.
• Control the application of procedures, work instructions, and collaborate on standard optimisation.
• Coordinate with the central FMEA manager to standardise production processes.
• Plan and lead risk‑analysis meetings for internal/external deviations and technical changes.
• Handle claims, participate in risk‑management meetings, and support emergency plans.
• Conduct reverse FMEA to verify corrective actions and follow‑up on process‑control findings.
• Prepare and verify quality data, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure collaboration with Production, Logistics, Planning and support waste management, environmental control and emergency response.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of quality management experience in the automotive sector.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and familiarity with IATF 16949 standards.
• Good command of English (or German) for documentation and communication.

Required skills

• FMEA methodology.
• 8D Report (RQMS) handling.
• IATF 16949 knowledge.
• Process Flow Diagram and SPC.
• Process management and VDA 6.3 internal auditing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Problem‑solving methodology.
