Quality Management System Lead Specialist

About the role

Autoliv develops seatbelts, airbags and steering wheels to increase vehicle safety. As Quality Management System (QMS) Lead Specialist, you will oversee quality processes and help raise performance standards, supporting process owners and internal auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Support process owners in defining process maps, procedures, risks, opportunities, controls and measurable objectives
• Coordinate management reviews, review inputs, consolidate data and follow up decisions and actions
• Integrate customer-specific requirements and lessons learned into the QMS
• Promote quality awareness and provide QMS training and guidance to employees and internal auditors
• Support change management, new launches and process changes by ensuring QMS updates are completed
• Identify systemic risks, compliance gaps and improvement opportunities, escalate critical issues to the PQM and recommend suspending a process when a serious risk is found
• Maintain audit schedules, certification records, quality manuals, procedures and other QMS evidence
• Contribute to continuous improvement using PDCA, 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa and other structured methods, request evidence and corrective actions, and escalate overdue actions
• Comply with HSE, ethics, information-security and confidentiality requirements, and support quality culture and cross-functional improvement activities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Quality, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive industry with strong exposure to QMS and internal auditing
• Internal Auditor qualification (required); IATF 16949 Auditor and VDA 6.3 certifications are a plus
• Fluent in French and English; available to support audits and occasional business travel

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements and quality core tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA)
• Problem-solving methods such as 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, PDCA and QRQC
• VDA 6.3 Process Audits and VDA 6.5 Product Audits
• Microsoft Office and QMS/document management tools
