Owner – Lead and Grow Hyderabad Biometrics Society

About the role

The Owner will steer the strategic direction, daily operations, and growth of the Hyderabad Biometrics Society. Based on‑site in Mégrine, this full‑time position is responsible for fostering a vibrant community of biostatisticians, coordinating events, and building partnerships with academia and industry.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the Society’s strategic goals and annual plans.
• Organise seminars, workshops, and networking events that promote knowledge‑sharing in biostatistics and biometrics.
• Develop and maintain collaborations with universities, research institutes, industry partners, and professional bodies.
• Manage the Society’s budget, allocate resources, and oversee any staff or volunteer teams.
• Represent the Society at conferences, meetings, and public forums to raise its profile and attract new members.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in biostatistics, statistics, public health, data science, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience in leadership, organisational management, or community building.
• Strong track record of stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, especially for academic and professional audiences.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Mégrine and collaborate with a diverse, interdisciplinary community.
