Maintenance Technician – Mechanical & Electrical (Chocolate Manufacturing)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our chocolate and confectionery production lines. The role involves ensuring smooth operation, product quality, and compliance with food safety standards in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor chocolate and candy production lines, following recipes and SOPs.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and quick troubleshooting of equipment.
• Diagnose whether issues are mechanical or electrical and resolve them or escalate as needed.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and food‑production regulations.
• Support continuous improvement of line efficiency and product quality.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience as a Production Technician in a chocolate or candy factory.
• Industrial Diploma, Technical Institute or Food‑Industry background.
• Strong knowledge of chocolate properties (melting, tempering, crystallisation).
• Good understanding of electrical operation systems and safe machine restart procedures.

Required skills

• Chocolate production line operation.
• Electrical troubleshooting (sensors, motors, contactors, inverters, control panels).
• Mechanical components knowledge (conveyors, gearboxes, moving parts).
• Reading and following production recipes and standard operating procedures.
