Lead Specialist Parts Management & VAVE Support

About the role

LEONI is seeking a Lead Specialist to provide technical expertise on parts and support Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives across automotive projects. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers to ensure the right parts are selected, documented and continuously improved.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical expertise on parts, preparing reports and overviews for LEONI, suppliers and customers.
• Identify and select appropriate parts throughout all project phases based on customer requirements and technical knowledge.
• Support VAVE changes, coordinating with suppliers to gather and validate technical data.
• Benchmark alternative parts, recommend cost‑saving measures and explore new purchasing opportunities.
• Maintain parts technical master data in LEOparts and ECAD systems, including part‑number creation, attribute updates and structure definition aligned with OEM releases and internal needs.

Required profile

• University degree in a technical field.
• Minimum three years of experience in engineering or design within the automotive industry.
• English proficiency at least B2 level.
• Strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with LEOparts master‑data management.
• Experience using ECAD systems for parts data handling.
