IT Technician (Part-Time Backfill)

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time IT Technician to provide on‑site deskside support for end‑users in Cairo. You will work closely with the Service Desk and other IT teams to resolve incidents quickly and maintain service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver client‑specific IT support to end‑users, prioritising incidents according to SLA.
• Visit customer locations and support multiple facilities as required.
• Collaborate with the Service Desk and other support teams to achieve contract deliverables.
• Track incidents and calls accurately using the ITSM ticketing system.
• Install, upgrade, move and de‑install hardware and software components.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and the local language.
• 2‑3 years of experience in an IT support role.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• PC hardware and software troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, printers, scanners).
• Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating system support.
• Basic network troubleshooting.
• Microsoft Office (latest suites).
• Symantec Endpoint Protection.
• ITSM ticket management tools.
• Microsoft Active Directory.
• Group Policy Objects.
• Virus detection and eradication procedures.
• Tablet and smart‑device support.
