International Buyer (Food)

About the role

The International Buyer will manage product families and supplier portfolios, sourcing overstocks, liquidations and unsold goods worldwide. The role focuses on negotiating contracts that meet cost, lead‑time and quality targets while supporting the company’s global purchasing strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and purchase surplus inventory on the international market at optimal prices.
• Negotiate purchasing conditions and prices to secure favorable terms.
• Follow up on orders, ensure proper documentation and manage claims or disputes.
• Maintain regular communication with managers, support staff and suppliers.
• Achieve qualitative and quantitative objectives set by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Commercial, Procurement or related field.
• Proven experience in international buying, purchasing or supplier negotiation, preferably in food‑related products.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities, with fluency in English (French a plus).
• Commercial mindset with a strategic approach to purchasing.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
