Implementation Lead (AI)

About the role

Storyteller is looking for an Implementation Lead to own the rollout and ongoing operation of AI‑enabled services for a major sports client. You will configure, automate, troubleshoot and continuously improve the product after launch, working directly with clients and engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Take client products and integrations from brief to live, handling configuration, onboarding, testing and rollout, then own them post‑launch.
• Build and run AI‑powered automations, tools and workflows that accelerate delivery and enhance the product.
• Monitor AI services for reliability, validate outputs and catch issues before they affect the client.
• Reproduce issues by checking config, data and expected behaviour, then hand clear problem statements to engineering.
• Prioritise fixes, collaborate with engineers to ship improvements, and keep clients informed of progress and constraints.
• Mentor one or two junior teammates and create reusable tools and automation.

Required profile

• Proven experience building real‑world AI automations or tools (not just chatbots).
• Track record taking client‑facing products or integrations from brief to live and maintaining them.
• Background in technical support, integrations, QA or development, evolving into product ownership.
• Comfort with APIs, SDKs, configuration and data without being a full‑stack engineer.
• Experience in fast‑moving environments such as startups, scale‑ups or agencies.

Required skills

• API integration
• SDK usage
• AI automation
• Data configuration and validation
