Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) Inspector

About the role

We are seeking a Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) Inspector to join our Orillia‑based manufacturing facility. The role focuses on performing non‑destructive testing of aerospace engine components to ensure structural integrity and compliance with stringent quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Fluorescent Penetrant Inspections (Method D, Form a) following NADCAP and customer specifications.
• Review engineering drawings, inspection standards and part documentation.
• Execute pre‑cleaning, penetrant application, dwell, emulsification and development processes.
• Inspect components under UV light, record results and maintain traceability logs.
• Maintain equipment calibration, perform daily FPI log and ensure proper surface preparation.
• Support root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for non‑conforming parts.
• Communicate findings with production, engineering and quality teams.
• Uphold 5S/Lean housekeeping, safety procedures and participate in audits.
