Data Quality & Governance Specialist

About the role

RemoFirst is looking for a Data Quality & Governance Specialist to own and evolve its data quality program while bridging the gap between data and business teams. You will ensure data is trustworthy, well‑documented and ready for analytics and AI use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and monitor end‑to‑end data quality SLAs, tests and dashboards across the Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion architecture using dbt.
• Lead root‑cause analysis of data issues and drive continuous improvement of data trust.
• Build and maintain the enterprise data catalog and business glossary, managing metadata, ownership, lineage and classifications.
• Collaborate with domain owners to capture institutional knowledge and define data contracts, rules and governance policies.
• Facilitate workshops and act as the primary point of contact for data meaning, reliability and discoverability.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience delivering data quality and governance initiatives in production.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently.
• Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders.

Required skills

• DBT
• SQL
• Data cataloging tools such as OpenMetadata, DataHub or Collibra
• Building data‑quality dashboards and monitoring solutions
