Case Worker

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Case Worker to join its team in Tunis. Under the supervision of the Protection Officer, you will provide reception, orientation, referral and assistance to vulnerable migrants, ensuring they receive appropriate support and protection.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and orient vulnerable migrants arriving at the IOM office.
• Assess needs and refer individuals to relevant services and partners.
• Maintain accurate case records and prepare regular reports.
• Coordinate with governmental authorities, UN agencies, and NGOs.
• Support the Protection Officer in daily operational tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Health, Psychology or a related field with at least two years of relevant experience, or a high‑school diploma with four years of experience.
• Proven experience assisting migrants or vulnerable populations.
• Experience working with government bodies, UN entities or international NGOs.
• Knowledge of migration and health issues in Tunisia is an advantage.
• Fluency in French (oral and written) and working knowledge of Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Strong drafting and clear oral communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
