AWS Cloud Platform Engineer (Data Platform | AWS | Terraform | Python)

About the role

We are seeking an AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate enterprise‑grade, data‑intensive platforms. You will work at the intersection of Cloud, Data, and MLOps, helping to evolve an Insurance Data Platform for European clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS‑based data platforms.
• Collaborate with the Data Platform Architect to define platform architecture.
• Translate business requirements from Product Owners into technical solutions.
• Support Data Engineers by creating and optimizing data infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, Data Mesh architecture, and MLOps infrastructure.
• Contribute across DevOps, Data Engineering, and ML infrastructure topics.
• Deliver work on well‑defined user stories within an agile framework.
• Advise stakeholders on software architecture and best development practices.

Required profile

• Strong experience with AWS services (Networking, Security, Glue, Serverless).
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Solid Python programming skills.
• Proven track record building and maintaining data‑heavy platforms.
• Good understanding of cloud architecture and distributed systems.
• Comfortable working in cross‑functional teams and communicating with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Nice to have: familiarity with Data Mesh concepts, exposure to MLOps environments, background in insurance or regulated industries.
