Accounts Payable Clerk

About the role

The Accounts Payable Clerk will support the finance team of a global hospitality brand, ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions and proper maintenance of records. This full‑time position is based in Tunis and involves daily interaction with internal departments and external banking partners.

Key responsibilities

• Check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper coding.
• Organize, secure and maintain files, records, cash and cash equivalents in line with company policies.
• Record, store and analyze computerized financial information using journals and ledgers.
• Classify, code and summarize numerical data to compile financial records.
• Complete period‑end closing procedures and related reports.
• Audit cashier banks periodically and maintain petty cash, contracts and cash variance documentation.
• Act as liaison between the property and armored‑car service or primary banking institution.
• Participate in internal, external and regulatory audit processes to ensure compliance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related accounts payable or finance experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift, carry or move objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Professional appearance, clear communication and strict confidentiality.
