Global Travel Management Specialist

About the role

LEONI is looking for a specialist to design, implement and maintain global business travel processes and policies. The role ensures compliance, supports travelers and drives continuous improvement across all travel-related activities.

Key responsibilities

• Create and roll out global travel policies, standards and expense reimbursement procedures.
• Monitor local travel standards to guarantee alignment with global frameworks.
• Develop training concepts, materials and deliver sessions on travel topics.
• Advise local teams on implementing travel management programs.
• Support compliance and due‑diligence in travel bookings, handling and risk mitigation (e.g., International SOS).
• Publish travel alerts and manage EU/A1 posting reviews.
• Coordinate external providers for travel advice, booking services and compliance tools.
• Research trends, digitalisation opportunities and benchmark best practices.
• Define, consolidate and analyse travel key figures, ensure data quality and produce deviation analyses.
• Generate reports, statistics and analyses related to business travel.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of the business travel value chain (air, rail, accommodation, rental, visa regulations, passenger rights).
• Basic understanding of local legal regulations such as expense reimbursement, working hours and taxation.
• Basic knowledge of the travel industry; SAP HR knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent English (minimum C1).
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to challenge existing processes.
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to share information within the team.
