Commercial Management Director – Africa I&M

About the role

The Africa I&M Commercial Management Director will lead order intake and market growth across the African region for RINA’s Mediterranean and Africa Engineering Commercial Management Division. Reporting to senior commercial leadership, the role combines strategic market planning with hands‑on business development to expand RINA’s presence and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute market strategies to achieve order intake targets for the designated African area.
• Analyse market trends, competitive landscape and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
• Lead, coach and monitor a team of Business Development Managers, setting clear targets and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with regional and market commercial directors to align local actions with broader corporate objectives.
• Maintain and grow relationships with key clients, stakeholders and partners, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Provide regular market intelligence reports and updates to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior commercial or business development roles within engineering or related sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to drive order intake and achieve growth targets in a multi‑country environment.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of business development professionals.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Strategic mindset with solid analytical abilities to interpret market data.
