Assistant Director of Finance

About the role

The Assistant Director of Finance supports the Director of Finance in overseeing all financial activities of the Four Seasons hotel in Tunis. This position ensures compliance with local regulations and corporate policies while maintaining accurate financial records and robust reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and supervise the Finance team, providing coaching, training and performance management.
• Oversee daily finance operations, ensuring accurate execution of accounting processes and timely financial reporting.
• Manage month‑end closing, including preparation of financial statements, journal entries, accruals and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure adherence to USALI standards and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Collaborate with internal departments and keep the Director of Finance informed of financial performance and operational issues.
• Support recruitment, evaluate employee performance and take personnel actions to build a strong finance team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel finance operations or a similar hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of USALI and standard accounting practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and retain a finance team.
