Silicon Characterization Lab Internship (Apprenticeship 2026)

About the role

You will join the STM32 characterization team at STMicroelectronics as a four‑year apprentice, supporting board validation, sample management and AI‑driven automation while continuing your engineering studies.

Key responsibilities

• Bring‑up and validate STM32 characterization boards using defined test benches.
• Prepare and document characterization reports.
• Manage STM32 samples and boards, handling internal requests and ensuring traceability.
• Improve validation flows and develop tools/scripts with Python and data‑analysis techniques.
• Implement simple AI/ML features such as anomaly detection, pattern recognition and automatic result classification.
• Integrate tools with STM32 boards and laboratory instruments, and document models, procedures and test setups.

Required profile

• Completed licence degree in Electronics, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of embedded C and STM32 (or other) microcontrollers.
• First experience with lab measurement and debugging tools (oscilloscope, power supply, multimeter).
• Programming skills in at least one language – Python preferred, also C/C++ or LabVIEW.
• Interest in AI/ML applications to test and measurement data is a plus.
• Good written and spoken English for technical topics.
