About the role
LEONI is seeking a Sales Manager to lead customer‑focused activities for a car line or product group within the automotive sector. You will act as the main liaison between customers and internal teams, providing market insights and supporting account planning.
Key responsibilities
- Gather and analyse competition, customer, and market data to support account plans.
- Monitor customer requirements, RfQ pre‑conditions and project portfolios to identify new opportunities.
- Negotiate product changes, collect purchase orders and ensure proper administration.
- Provide input for strategic business planning, develop margin‑improvement measures and negotiate them.
- Prepare and document negotiations for customer volume/demand to optimise production costs (S&OP, MPS).
- Collect customer feedback, track improvement actions and manage escalations.
- Identify and categorise customer claims with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain sales data in company systems, manage pricing and ensure timely cash collection.
- Lead offer preparation (RFP, RFQ) and support product lifecycle and aftermarket planning.
- Represent the sales department in cross‑functional projects.
Required profile
- University degree in a technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the automotive industry.
- English proficiency at C1 level.
