Sales Manager – Customer, Car Line or Product Group

About the role

LEONI is seeking a Sales Manager to lead customer‑focused activities for a car line or product group within the automotive sector. You will act as the main liaison between customers and internal teams, providing market insights and supporting account planning.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse competition, customer, and market data to support account plans.
• Monitor customer requirements, RfQ pre‑conditions and project portfolios to identify new opportunities.
• Negotiate product changes, collect purchase orders and ensure proper administration.
• Provide input for strategic business planning, develop margin‑improvement measures and negotiate them.
• Prepare and document negotiations for customer volume/demand to optimise production costs (S&OP, MPS).
• Collect customer feedback, track improvement actions and manage escalations.
• Identify and categorise customer claims with relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain sales data in company systems, manage pricing and ensure timely cash collection.
• Lead offer preparation (RFP, RFQ) and support product lifecycle and aftermarket planning.
• Represent the sales department in cross‑functional projects.

Required profile

• University degree in a technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the automotive industry.
• English proficiency at C1 level.
